What kind of servers does Network Solutions use?

Network Solutions' private label hosting platform is based on industry standard hardware and software. It is architected in co-operation with best-of-breed vendors such as HP®, IBM®, Microsoft®, Oracle®, Sun®, and other industry leaders. Using clustering and abstraction of services such as authentication and storage, Network Solutions has simplified the management, maintenance, and product introduction process.

Network Solutions' hosting platform uses Linux® and Windows® as operating systems, along with directory structures and authentication schemes such as Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) and Active Directory for authentication. The network architecture uses Cisco® switches and F5 load balancers, while the platform uses network-attached storage devices from Network Appliance for Network File System (NFS), Common Internet File System (CIFS) and Internet Small Computer System Interface (iSCSI) to centralize customer data. On the Windows side of the platform, we use Microsoft's Shared Web hosting standards, and are a Microsoft® Gold Certified Partner.

All third-party elements of the Network Solutions platform work as their original vendor intended them to, so you can sell all our hosting services with confidence.

What is your service uptime guarantee*?

Network Solutions' robust turnkey Windows and UNIX® hosting services are backed with a virtual zero downtime guarantee*. In the last 12 months, Network Solutions has consistently performed above this standard.

We generate monthly reports that demonstrate the performance of the monitored services on each platform (UNIX and Windows), and provide these reports to our private label customers.

* Virtually zero downtime guarantee does not include scheduled maintenance or unanticipated downtime due to circumstances outside the control of Network Solutions.
